I took out my favorite Christmas Cookie gift recipe to post here and got distracted now 3 days later it is no where to be found.
I have googled to no avail.
Does anyone have Martha Stewart's Mixed Fruit and Nuts Cookie recipe? It has dried apricots, cherries, pistachios and ......................
If you can help you will be making may coworkers happy, since they expect these cookies every year.
Thanks.

Re: Help
Sun, November 18, 2007 - 9:27 AMYeah! It was in her Annual recipes for 2003. I only have that one and the 2002 one plus her big cookbooks.
Mixed Fruit and nut cookies
Makes 3 dozen Preheat oven to 375
2 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup gran sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups sweetened shredded coconut
1 1/2 cups chopped dried apricots
1 1/2 cups dried cherries
1 1/2 cups sliced blanched almonds
1 1/2 cups chopped unsalted pistachios
Line two sheets with parchment paper, and set aside. Combine flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl; set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment , cream butter on medium speed until smooth. Add the sugars, and beat until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time until combined; beat in vanilla.
Add the flour mixture all at once, and beat on low speed until combined. Add coconut, apricots, cherries, almonds and pistachios; beat until combined.
Drop batter 2 heaping teaspoons at a time onto prepared baking sheet, about 2 inches apart.. Bake until golden brown, 12-15 minutes, rotating sheets halfway through. Remove from oven, and transfer on parchment paper lining to a wire rack to cool completely. -

Re: Help
Sun, November 18, 2007 - 2:35 PMDianne thanks so much! I love these cookies. I found the recipe in a book at Borders but wasn't up to spending the $40.00. Didn't have a pen with me. I was going to back to copy it. -
